Retro totebag

This one i made for my ant to christmas. I uses an old tablecloth from the 70’s and add some brown cordfabric. I absolutly love this combination of colours. You can find the pattern here. She have used a letherstrop, but I made buttonholes and made a made a wide strip. It dosen,t close so automaticly it is soposed too but it’s ok. Inside it have pockets for knit-recipe and needles.

Print on fabric, some little bags

I was creating these little bags and then it hit me, what if I could make these custommade, what fun would that be?

I wantet to print on fabric, but it is quite expensive to order feks from spoonflower.  I did it once when i made pillows to my familiy. I have also orderd a mathprint that I have some plans with. Well I was discussing this with a friend of mine and she had found a blog where a girl  make her own label on the printer. This I had to try!! So i did and here are my result:

Iam quite happy with the result. This is black but was more brown. I tried with colors too but it bleed out in water over some time. Seems that black is the only colour that works.

High street messenger bag

I was finally done with my bag. Pattern here. It is already in use and it is a perfect bag / pouch for me as a commuter. Here I have space for everything from blankets, book, umbrella, drinking, mobile, chocolate, ticket etc. Or a laptop as it is originally intended for in size. It is lined with heavysewin, very heavy, just because it’s a bag and the edges will not fall down so quickly. There is also a card in the bottom,  sewn in such as the recipe says. The problems along the way was to get sewn together bottom sides of the outer shell, the fabric was canvas. It was a little thick in the corners and I had to pop up a few times and then there would be holes in the corners. Anyway, I’m very happy and many old ladies comment on the cute boy in the picture:) Such images can be purchased from spoonflower.com or made with a transfer paper. Finally, the entire bag is sprayed with impregnationspray
